Congratulations to Harrison Whitman on his receipt of the prestigious Henry Rutgers Award!
The Henry Rutgers Scholar Award of the School of Arts and Sciences recognizes graduating seniors who have completed outstanding independent research projects leading to an interdepartmental thesis or a thesis in their major field of study. The awards are offered across all departments of the School of Arts and Sciences, and so represent only the very finest achievements of our students.
Harrison has been working with us since Fall 2019, and has been instrumental on various projects in our group. The Henry Rutgers Award acknowledges his achievement over the past 4 years at Rutgers, and in particular, his honors thesis research “Synthesis and Characterization of Carbon Nanodots”. He graduated with the highest honor. With his 4.0 GPA throughout all undergraduate courses and the stellar performance in our group, we have no doubt he will have great success in his career.
