Harrison is a chemistry student in the Rutgers University class of 2021 who worked in the Zhang group from 2019 to 2021. His broad research interests include organic and inorganic chemistry, as well as materials science. For his senior thesis project with the Zhang group, Harrison investigated the synthesis and characterization of carbon nanodots for the development of new organic materials with unique optical properties. Outside of the laboratory, he served as a teaching intern for Honors Organic Chemistry and as vice president for the Rutgers Chemistry Society. In his free time, Harrison’s interests include music, reading, and retro video games. After graduating from Rutgers, Harrison took a position as a laboratory technician at a start-up developing personal care and cosmetic products.
